In addition to all the activities included in the Great Barn Festival Grounds Ticket, there are a number of select performances inside the Barn. These performances are an additional extra and as such incur an additional cost. All Barn performance tickets must be bought in conjunction with a Great Barn Festival Grounds Ticket.

David Gibb: A Family Concert

Join David on a musical journey through his hilarious and often surreal imagination, where sunflowers dance and sing, teddy bears dance the night away at the disco and you never know when you might find a dragon in your bedroom. David’s songwriting draws from a wide range of musical influences, deftly blending folk, jazz, reggae and rock and roll, always with an emphasis on quality and musicianship reminiscent of the classics. David Gibb: Family Song-Writing Workshop
PLUS Great Barn Festival Grounds Ticket Saturday 6th June 11.15 am – 12.00 pm Tickets £6 Workshop Ticket PLUS £6 Grounds Ticket = £12 per person A chance for children to embark on a magical musical adventure to remember with a workshop from award winning song writer and performer David Gibb! Create your very own song, exploring lyrics, melody, rhythm and more. At the end of the session, perform the song and wow your family and friends. This a fantastic opportunity for children to be introduced to a variety of musical instruments and genres. David’s song writing draws from a wide range of influences, deftly blending folk, jazz, reggae and rock and roll, always with an emphasis on quality and musicianship reminiscent of the classics. A fantastic way to introduce children to the concept of creating their own music, as well as developing confidence in creative writing through songs. Your ticket is a combination ticket that includes a full days entry to the Great Barn Festival as well as entry to David Gibb: Family Song Writing Workshop. Twig the Pixie: A Pixie Picnic Saturday 6th June 12.00pm – 1.00pm Tickets £10 per child PLUS £6 Grounds Ticket = £16 per child (Includes lunch) £4 per accompanying parent PLUS Grounds Ticket = £10 per adult Have you ever wanted to have lunch with a Pixie and his fairy friends? Silly question, of course you have! Twig the Pixie lives in the forest with the fairies and unicorns in a mushroom house. Sometimes he travels all the way to Human Land to do stand-up comedy packed with jokes for kids and adults too! Join him and his fairy friends for an hilarious comedy show complete with a packed lunch for the children. A firm favourite at The Brighton Fringe Festival and Glastonbury. Treasure Island
Saturday 6th June 2.00pm – 3.00pm Tickets £6 Show Ticket PLUS £6 Grounds Ticket = £12 per person Join Splats Entertainment for a thrilling adventure to 'Treasure Island ' in a performance based on Robert Louis Stevenson's classic book filled with murder, money and mutiny. Young Jim Hawkins life is about to change forever, when one stormy night, he opens the door of his families Inn to a mysterious seafaring stranger. Are his dreams of adventure and dangerous sea voyages about to be realised and will there be gold at the end? A spectacular swashbuckling adventure for the whole family. Shakespeare in a Suitcase – A Midsummer Night’s Dream

The Mystery of the Raddlesham Mumps

After the windswept double funeral of his parents, 7-year-old Crispin (or Crispin de Quincy de Faversham Clumps to give him his full name) inherits his ancestral home – Raddlesham Mumps. He finds himself in a huge empty house with only an ancient butler for company. And when that butler, Kenilworth, begins to tell him about the bizarre and hilarious deaths of his deeply eccentric ancestors the story takes flight on darkly comic wings. In this brand-new show Murray mixes compelling story-telling and poetry with a brilliant score, a healthy dose of physical theatre and a touch of silliness. The Servants Ball – Step Dance Workshop with Ewan Wardrop Sunday 7th June 6.30pm – 7.30pm Tickets: £5 per person or £15 Workshop & Servants Ball concert Helping to recreate the Servants Ball experience, Ewan Wardrop brings his extensive experience into running this step dance workshop. Why not learn a few steps and join in with the Servants Ball later in the evening! Ewan Wardrop – Ex Principal dancer with Mathew Bourne’s New Adventures, choreographer for Two Noble Kinsman with Eliza Carthy at The Globe, performer with RSC, Royal National Theatre, Royal Opera House, Ukulele Orchestra of Great Britain, founder of The Bo Diddlers Morris Side. CONCERT
The Servants Ball Sunday 7th June 8.00pm – 10.00pm Tickets £12 per person or £15 Workshop & The Servants Ball concert The Servants’ Ball launch their music and dance project inspired by staff parties of the grand English country estates before WW2 and an old set list from a village hall dance band. A band who would play any party or ball which would have them if the fee was right. Much of this music has fallen between the cracks in the years since. But within this forgotten music lies a cultural scrapbook of British history, ancient English dance tunes, polkas and quadrilles from Europe, African American banjo music, Victorian music hall, Italian opera, step dance tunes, even the influence of the then popular passion for Egyptology.... a true melting pot. The Servant’s Ball’ have taken inspiration from these musicians who knew no boundaries and have recreated the culturally irreverent atmosphere of these events with music and dance. Performed by some of Britain’s leading traditional musicians, set against the magnificent Barn backdrop, this will be a night to remember. Be prepared to sing and dance along!
